About the Wine
It is characterized by a deep ruby color with an aromatic profile of red cherry and black cherry, raspberry and blueberry with hints of fresh pine and thyme. There is a subtle influence of french oak expressed with the aromas of vanilla, coffee and cacao. The palate is dry with grippy tannins, refreshing acidity and a full body. The main flavor profile consists of raspberry, black and red cherry with herbal notes of pine and thyme with a cacao and vanilla finish.
Wine Pairing Suggestions
It pairs perfectly with grilled and roasted red meat like beef, lamb or venison. Game meat such as boar, duck or pheasant can handle the Vertzami’s intensity. Also strong, aged cheeses such as pecorino, aged Gouda or Manchego and traditional Greek dishes like moussaka,
