  • Wine Pairing Suggestions

It pairs perfectly with grilled and roasted red meat like beef, lamb or pork. Game meat such as boar, duck or pheasant can handle Mavrodaphne’s intensity. Also strong, aged cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano, aged Gouda or Manchego and traditional Greek dishes like moussaka,

match well with Mavrodaphne’s bold flavor profile. There are also vegan options that pair excellently with Mavrodaphne. Eggplant based dishes like imam bayildi as well as mushroom based dishes like mushroom risotto or grilled portobello mushrooms can stand with Vertzami’s bold flavors. Classic dishes like Ratatouille and the greek alternative Briami as well as roasted beet salad make an excellent pair.
